Slow Cranking or No Cranking at All
Your battery may need replacement if your car has trouble cranking. You may have a bad battery if it cranks slowly or doesn’t crank at all.
Corrosion
Sometimes, when your battery gets low on power, it can begin to corrode. This corrosion is usually white and powdery looking, and it builds up around the battery’s posts (where you attach your jumper cables).

Unexplained Power Drains
If your car’s electrical system is drawing too much current for the alternator to keep up with, that can cause your alternator to go out faster than it should.
